Aim of investment The aim of the fund is a high capital growth in consideration of the strict social-ecological investment criteria and financing criteria of the GLS bank.
Investment strategy The fund invests to at least 51% in shares. The fund invests worldwide in shares which correspond to the investment principles and financing principles of the GLS bank. The investment universe is selected with the help of social-ecological criteria. Being considered negative criteria and exclusion criteria as well as positive criteria.
Investment process Companies with an especially sustainable core business are selected straight. Afterwards a team from finance specialists checks and values the economic sustainability. Thus it should be made sure that the fund invests only in shares which correspond to the demands of the fund management in view of sustainable criteria. Above all long-term investments are in the foreground.
The values of the investment universe of the fund are checked carefully, comprehensively and multidimensional. All three dimensions of the sustainable understanding GLS are looked: human, trendsetting and economic. With otherwise equal conditions it is invested in the company which creates the highest social and ecological added value. Base for the selection procedure are the investment principles and financing principles of the GLS bank. They enclose a row of positive criteria, negative criteria and exclusion criteria.
About several steps different committees and specialized divisions compile the GLS sustainable universe from which, finally, is invested in the single values of the fund. The investment universe as well as the sustainable universe is regularly checked.
The choice of the investments for the fund is steered by two committees independent of each other, the investment advisory committee and the investment committee.
