European SRI Transparency Guidelines Logo for SRI mutual funds

Instoec

Since 2008 the Transparency Guidelines Logo creates an increased accountability for SRI mutual funds to the financial markets. The Transparency Guidelines Logo for SRI mutual funds was developed by Eurosif, the European umbrella organisation for SRI investments, in co-operation with national Social Investment Forums (SIFs). In Germany, Austria and Switzerland the Transparency Guidelines Logo for SRI mutual funds is awarded by the FNG – the German, Austrian and Swiss Sustainable Investment Forum.

The logo “transparent” guarantees the quality of SRI investments. The principles are: quality through transparency, information for investors, maintain the variety of SRI investments, no guidelines concerning ethical standards.

It offers detailed and traceable information on the fund and fund management for stakeholders and investors. It shows which SRI criteria and research methods are used – how the flow of information reaches stakeholders and investors – which Engagement method is used and whether the fund management makes use of their right to vote.

Fund managers can use the European SRI Transparency Guidelines Logo to clarify the transparent and sustainable management of their fund in the growing market of SRI investments.

The FNG – the German, Austrian and Swiss Sustainable Investment Forum is responsible for the implementation of the project in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
